Ghost

A tropical look in Victoria is possible with this bamboo. This one is great! Fast grower, tight clumper, and not too tall, large leaves, stays green and lush throughout the year and has extremely impressive (ghostly) white powdered culms when young.

Not recommended for growing in pots as it is a large grower with large leaves that draws a lot of moisture and it also becomes very top heavy making stability a big problem. Ghost bamboo can take up a lot of room in the garden because the culms splay out fairly wide, but of course with maintenance can be kept smaller.

Hardy and easy to grow, will grow almost anywhere provided it is well watered for the first year from planting.
